Royal Scottish Country Dance Society
Vancouver Branch

Demonstration Team

The Vancouver Demonstration Team, represents the RSCDS Vancouver Branch and was first formed in the mid 1960s. Its members perform and display the traditional Country Dancing of Scotland. Their repertoire includes dances from old manuscripts as well as from newly composed material.

Either in full highland dress or in informal Scottish attire their performances, to the thrilling music of Scotland, are lively as well as stately. The team, comprising anywhere from six to twenty dancers, performs at private parties, public functions, formal balls and banquets, several Burns Suppers each year and of course, at the Annual BC Highland Games.
